Kickstarter news: We hit our first goal!

Thank you so much everyone who’s donated so far! As of last night, the first goal of $3,500 was reached in less than two weeks! That’s the official mark which means we can definitely make this film happen! It’s a tight budget that gets us there (as you can see here) but there’s no longer any doubt that The World of Missing Persons will happen. (To be honest, I never really had that doubt to begin with. Films get made, one way or another.)

I know $6,000 seems like an optimistic goal for the rest of the campaign, but it seemed like a good time to aim high. The minimum mark has been crossed, and there’s another sixteen days left for the campaign. Some very exciting discussions have started taking place between the team and I, now that we’re no longer behind the eight-ball financially — things I’ll be happy to announce when they work themselves out, and part of that is contingent on how much support we can receive. Paid crews, exciting camera packages, smarter scheduling. Gears are turning!

Again, THANK YOU to the generous souls who’ve got us this far. “Thank you” isn’t enough, but that’s why Kickstarter gives us the “incentives,” so we can at least give something back (in addition to the best possible finished film). If you haven’t helped out yet, a couple of bucks can go a long way… check out the links below!

Kickstarter Campaign: New Goal!

Within a week we made 90% of the $3,500 “bare-bones” target goal!

The response has been pretty incredible. The only thing to do was re-evaluate what we needed, put a little meat on those bare bones, and update our projected goal. We’re now hoping to reach $6,000 by July 9th. More info here, including a breakdown of where that money will go.

Thank you again and again, all those who’ve supported us so far, and if you haven’t yet, check out the video below, donate to our project, and help us out!

Not only will you feel good for helping make a great short film happen, but for your kindness you can get a DVD or Blu-Ray when it’s done, or DVDs or Blu-Rays of Every Room is Empty or Open, or limited-edition prints and t-shirts based on conceptual art from our production team — or bid high enough and we’ll come cook you dinner, or get you on IMDb.

Check out the campaign for more details! Or learn more about the film here.

Thanks!

There will be updates pouring in very quickly — really exciting stuff in the next week or two that I am just champing at the bit to tell everyone about. So check us out and you can tell all your friends, “I liked The World of Missing Persons before all the cool kids were doing it.”

We are live!

PLEASE FORGIVE THE MESS.

ICE9FILMS.COM has now transitioned to ICENINEFILMS.COM (the more appropriate, given the reference) and will be under construction and kind of a wreck for a little while. Most of the links will work, but if you would like to contact me or you need any information about my films that you can’t find here, please feel free to email me or visit the outdated 2008 website archive.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.
